Egocentric or Why I Love my Almost Six Year Old.

As I said in the previous post, when it comes to Casey, his individual ego may be a tad bit massive. But not to worry, Jason and I are devising a plan on how to knock him down a few notches on that totem pole. I think it's hilarious, because neither Jason or I are very egotistical, well I'm not.

Conversation 1, on the way to practice:
Casey: I'm the best player on the team.
Jay: You know Casey, even the best baseball players in the world, still have to practice everyday.
Casey: Well, that's debatable Dad.
-In Casey speak, this means, "Well I'm the best player on my team and I never practice" or "You're so wrong dad"

DEBATABLE???!!!!! I'm shocked he can even use it in a sentence let alone properly.

Conversation 2:
Casey: Hey mom, I was walking so and so to the bathroom, and I saw 2nd grade, and Then I saw Miss. S.(Zach's teacher last year)
Moi: Did you say Hi to Miss S?
Casey: Yup, and she said, 'I've been hearing lots of good things about you Casey'
Moi: Oh really. That's good to hear.
Casey: I'm so good that they even know me all the way in grade 2!

Really???!!! REALLY???!!!! Yeah, ummmm.......I'd say it's totem knockin' time!
