Pre- hours of Opening Day

Today is opening day for the MLB, and my house is all a buzz, because it just so happens that the Texas Rangers are playing! For those of you who don't know, my house has recently gone baseball crazy. I mean we like baseball, Jay and I are both Yankee fans, but we always cheer for the home team. Casey has bugged us since he was three to play and has always loved the sport and Zach just took off again in full force with his interest. Cards, jerseys, books, you name it, they've got it. A bigger Josh Hamilton/Ranger fan, you'll never meet. He's got Hamilton fever. He spent his own money and bought himself a Josh Hamilton jersey and we are reading together his Autobiography: Beyond Belief: Finding the Strength to Come Back". It's a really great read and Josh is a wonderful role model for the boys. Zach loves to find similarities between he and Josh. Both left handed, both play baseball, basketball and some soccer, both love to take batting practice and pitch and play in the outfield. So in honor of opening day I thought I'd post some pictures of the boys playing baseball. I plan on posting pictures of our Opening Day Ballpark Party after we watch the game!




*** Casey was asked to play with Zach's team for a scrimmage. He thought that was pretty cool, but he usually wears a Rangers uniform.*** And on a side note, Zach's team uniform in no way demeans our beliefs as Yankee fans, and it should not be held against us in any way, shape, or form. :)
